Aaron Smith's Southampton Women's FC side get their season underway on Sunday, August 21st with a trip to Larkhall Athletic.
After last season's competitive campaign the Reds will be looking to push on from the fourth place finish in the FA Women's National League Division One South West.
Smith has strengthened with six summer signings including former Southampton FC Women trio Sara Luce, Shannon Sievwright and Kirsty Whitton.
Having only lost five regular members of his team from last season (including the retired Kellie Warren) Smith has kept the core of his side ready to go again.
Also joining the ranks is exciting attacker Hope Suominen and strong midfielder Emma King while also strengthening with some youth in defence with former Reading youngster Lauren Knight.
The Larks have added to their squad signing triplets Hannah, Madison and Sophie Price plus twins Alana and Nalani Hunt.
Three others have linked up with Athletic as they look to improve on their second from bottom finish last season.
Tomorrow's fixture sees Southampton travel away from home on the opening day for the third season in a row.
Last season the two sides met a total of three times with the Reds victorious on all three occasions thanks to a 3-1, 5-1 and 6-1 win.
Southampton's top goalscorer last season Sian Wylie was a particular thorn in the Larks side as she netted four times against them.
Plain Ham can be a tricky place to come to but Smith will be hoping that the added strength to his squad will help the side to kick start their season off in style.
