Maidenhead United are the visitors on Sunday in the FA Women's National League Division One South West as Southampton Women's FC look to finish their season strong.

It was only two weeks ago that the two sides met at York Road where the Sirens came from 2-1 down to earn a point.

Teenager Gabri Tchuenkam scored twice for the away side first to put Aaron Smith's side ahead before the Magpies hit back on either side of the break however, the forward was composed in front of goal to ensure the points were shared.

Since then the Sirens have been busy with two huge games in the league and SDFA Cup.

Last Sunday they travelled to Swindon where the stage was set at the County Ground in front of a crowd of 520.

The Sirens took the game by the horns and ran out with an emphatic 5-1 win over the Robins thanks to a Shannon Albuery hat-trick.

Jazz Nassar opened the goalscoring with a cross that went straight towards goal and lobbed the unsuspecting Town goalkeeper.

Shannon Sievwright doubled the lead from inside the box before Albuery headed home her first of the afternoon.

The Sirens were in control despite Swindon pushing forward on a number of occasions.

Albuery scored twice more and the hosts managed to grab a consolation goal late in the game from the penalty spot.

Then in midweek, it was the second meeting this season between the Sirens and the Saints under-23s.

Southampton Women's FC were the hosts this time at AFC Totton's Snows Stadium and it looked like more disappointment where the Saints took the lead in the first-half.

However, the Sirens never say die and fought back with former Saint Kirsty Whitton levelling things up before Laura Vokes' corner was headed in by a defender.

The visitors looked like they were heading towards a win but with the last kick of the game the Saints forced the ball over the line to send the game to penalties.

Emma King was first to go and was flawless as were Sievwright and Albuery while keeper Sara Luce made a great save and saw another penalty missed.

Last up was Emma Whitlock who cooly dispatched her penalty to send the Sirens through to the SDFA Cup Final.

The visitors lost 2-0 last Sunday against league leaders Exeter City but still look set to avoid the drop with an eight-point gap between them and second from bottom Larkhall Athletic.

Manager Ed Sankey has seen a turnaround in performances and results which showed at York Road. against the Sirens as they brought a more battling style to proceedings.
