RED AND BLACK IS WHERE IT’S AT

Holly Humphreys and Elle Elkins transfer to the Sirens from AFC Bournemouth.

Ahead of our first FA Women’s National League Division One South West fixture tomorrow, we are delighted to confirm the signing of Holly Humphreys and Elle Elkins.

Humphreys and Elkins will join the Sirens this season, having completed a transfer agreement between Southampton and AFC Bournemouth.

In February this year, Humphreys returned to the pitch after overcoming a long-term knee injury that sidelined her for a year.

Her first appearance in the FAWNL for the Cherries happened just four days after her 16th birthday, making her the youngest player to have played in the National League for Bournemouth.

Her achievement saw her become the first female player to advance through all Youth age groups and into First Team football at Bournemouth.

She is a very skillful player that will inject pace into Southampton’s new front line.

Elkins has also been signed to Bournemouth since her days as a Youth player, rising through the ranks and into the Senior squads.

She secured 15 appearances across all competitions for the Cherries last season, as well as playing for Bournemouth University’s women’s team.

The midfielder also has two Hampshire Senior Cup winners’ medals.

Both players will play key roles in tomorrow’s game against Keynsham Town, as Aaron Smith’s new management sets out their first match-day squad of the season.

We would like to thank AFC Bournemouth Women for their support in the completion of this dual transfer.
