AFC Wimbledon defender Sian Wylie has signed for Aaron Smith’s Southampton Women’s for the 2020/21 season.
Wylie has spent most of her senior career with the Dons and made a total of 94 appearances after joining them in 2014 from Basingstoke.
She helped them gain promotion to the FA Women’s National League in 2016 as the team went undefeated in the league and narrowly lost the Surrey County Cup final 2-1 to Crystal Palace.
While spending most of her time defending Wylie did find the back of the next 25 times during her stay with the Wombles.
Smith was pleased with the signing, saying: “Sian has been like a breath of fresh air since arriving at the club and she has shown a first class attitude from day one.
“Having seen Sian play now in a number of games I can already see improvements in her game and her drive to want to learn.”
